Hello there, and welcome!

About Me
I’ve recently graduated from NYU’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences with a Master’s in Computer Science. Presently, I care a lot about performance and efficiency in ML systems. Before grad school, I spent two years as a Data Engineer at IBM, where I got really into the intersection of data systems and engineering.
This site is my space to share what I’m learning, thinking about, and building. You’ll find technical deep dives and notes in the “Blog” section (ML performance engineering, ML theory & big data systems), and more personal reflections in “Thoughts”, where I write about life, philosophy, and document how my thoughts evolve.
Right now, I’m specializing in ML performance engineering and hardware-aware kernel optimization to push and harness the underlying accelerators’ efficiency that drive the ML models faster without compromising on model quality. Learning why things are designed the way they are and trying to form/build mental models of complex systems within this fascinating domain.
Beyond the technical stuff
Outside of work and school, I’m a national-level Lawn tennis player, and I also explore my creative side through art; you can check out some of my work on Instagram at @knotted.arts.
I value curiosity, meaningful work, and genuine connections. This site reflects that; it’s not just about the technical journey, but also about growth, reflection, and the process of figuring things out. Whether you’re here for the technical content, personal musings, or just passing through, I hope you find something worthwhile.
If anything resonates with you, feel free to reach out. I’d love to hear your story. Here’s to building things that matter and learning along the way 🥂.
Best,
Monishver
